  • Kale Johnson Here is what you should do when your printer Epson won't print black without color ink. Firstly, set GrayScale in print options. To do so, load plain paper into the input tray and click File. Then, choose Print or Print Setup. Next, select Properties or Preference and then open the Main. Now, choose the Quality Option settings and select Plain or Envelope as the Type Setting. Now, select the GrayScale checkbox and click OK. If it didn't work, run the printer troubleshooter. Open Settings and then go to the Update and Security section. Next, visit the Troubleshoot tab and tap on the Printer. Then click on the Run the troubleshooter button and follow on-screen instructions. Once done, try printing in black to check if the issue is resolved. You can try disabling the Epson status monitor and updating your Epson printer driver. If the issue persists, you can contact Canon printer customer support service.
